Background

We were appointed to furnish the office relocation and fit-out of Gamma Communications’ new HQ in Stretford, Manchester. The brief was to create an energising space within their call centre environment – deliberately breaking away from the traditional notion and connotations of a call centre.

The Brief

Working within the wider design of the office, we specified furniture in vibrant colours aligned with Gamma’s branding, using key pieces in varying sizes and colours to zone the open-plan areas and support the different ways staff needed to work, while keeping the demands of a busy call centre in mind.

Anex meeting booths give staff dedicated spaces for collaboration or focused work away from the desk without needing a separate meeting room, while purple Orai sofas, reflecting Gamma’s vibrant brand colours, create a definitive break from the working areas and give staff a comfortable space to relax.

A range of acoustic furniture was installed as a feature of the design, reducing noise across the open-plan office, a priority for any workspace built around high call volumes.
